Vicky, The eggs were laid inside the garage and the ground temperature never reached over 78 degrees. I kept a very close eye on the ground temperature. I don’t think that the eggs were in the ground longer than a week before I found them. I never let the incubator get over 84 degrees. The three that hatched outside last year, I don’t think that the ground temperature every reached over 70 degrees but I can’t be sure. Also the ground temperature in the garage now is much lower than before, because of the raise of the electric prices in California I had to turn off half of my lamps. The water temperature in the tank was about 84 degrees now it is about 79 degree. To much information, sorry ๐ Jonathan
