I’ve heard that theory, but I’m not sure if it’s more than opinion. Mine grow much slower once I move them to outdoor ponds and they go through winter. I think temperature is what is probably speeding up their metabolism (indoor tanks) and causing them to eat more and grow more. Julie wrote:
