hey rick- i have a question… how many hathcling pellets should these guys be eating? so far they seem to want to eat everything i throw in ……..they have eaten hatchling food , crickets ( they love crickets ) and rosey reds. haha i think i might try a few night crawlers cut up into pieces. i love these lil guys, but oh how they love to make a mess a dinner time. Also, i have my light on a 7-9 cycle right now UV as well as basking lamp. Should i keep the basker light on all the time? I have been checking the temp of the water with my raytek temp gun ( if you guys don’t have one of these or don’t know about them , this IS by far the best $100 dollars i’v spent since working with reptiles). anyhow the basking temps seem to range from 85-90 degrees (on the rock) and about 77-83 water temps. I read that (on the terrapin page) that some folks have much warmer temps and some much lower so i went with the mean. OH yeah, i asked my friend about mazuri diet. He said only liscenced dealers can sell any purina products and that he can not get it. but on my next day off im going to (new braunfels for you texas guys) a big purina store down the road to see if they sell it or can order it. This place is one of the largest feed stores i have seen and carry only purina products. take it easy- robin
