Mike, I have never had that type of problem with my adult dbt, but I have had a simalar problem with my snakeneck and a few other types of turtles. I will again state my favorite medication. ACRIFLAVIN I swear by this stuff, it can be found at most high end pet stores. When ever my turtles stop eating, develop any type of skin problem, or shell problem. I remove them from their tank and make a twenty gallon sick tank, which contants one teaspoon for every 5 gallons of water and some rock salt. I also make sure they bask and if they don’t I remove them from the water and place them in a dry tank. Of course I also clean out their old tank and filter. I most cases the turtles start eating in only a day or two. Once they seem healthy again I return them to their normal tank and then I add one teaspoon to every five gallons. I don’t know if this will help you terrapin or not but it is worth a try. Since she still has her weigth I would give the Acriflavin a try for two or three days. If there is no change I would try to find a Vet right away. Good luck and please keep use posted. Jonathan The Scute Moderator http://www.geocities.com/diamondbackterrapins
