One of the stores I was in did have a sign that said all turtles and frogs must be dead before leaving the store. That store did not have any turtles for sale. I have plenty of dbts myself, but I would like to rescue as many as I can. The red eared sliders that I found at one store were in bad shape( Broken shells, heavily damaged shells, skin problems, etc.) The turtles were not kept in water. I too am caucasian and most of the stores that I went to the employees did not speak english. I used a picture of a dbt to communicate what I was looking for. I will keep you posted when/if I see any dbts for sale. Jonathan P.S. How much did you pay for your dbt at the Chinese market?
