After trying every kind of filter available, I’ve been sold on Aquaclear for some time. I use their Aquaclear 500 (the largest) for 50-100 gallon tanks and it takes care of quite a few turtles per tank. I think it does the best job filtering and is easiest to clean. I build my own filters for outdoors. Scott (and all), one problem I’ve heard about using uv sterilizers for tropical fish is that it lowers their resistance to pathogens (because they never need to develop immunities), besides having to change them frequently (and are expensive). So when they are exposed to a bug, they can fall hard and quickly. I would think that the same would apply to turtles. -Rick Scott Howard wrote:
