Glad you found a competent vet. I hope he gets better. Cats have nine lives but I’m not sure how many a turtle has – this one has used up a few. Beer in the pond! Maybe Li-wah has a hang-over? What’s the punishment for paddling under the influence? Watch out for MADP (Mothers Against Drunk Paddling). 😉 I wonder if there is some chemical analysis of the pond water that you can do? Maybe you could talk some grad students into undertaking the project. Sounds like a great research paper.
