Jonothan I don’t know if my post went throught the other day so I’ll try again. First of all thanks for the reply. My hatchling is actually eating more and more. He still basks constantly. I have noticed his front legs appear to be shedding. You mentioned you would be in the Newark area. I live near there. If you want I can give you directions to an area in Southern Jersey(about 1 1/2 hour ride) that is loaded with Terrapins. As long as they are not hibernating yet, you can see them swimming around in Marinas and lagoons. My mom lives near Mystic NJ and it is loaded with Terrapins. This area has not been overrun with people like many NJ shore communities. In June they are all over the place trying to lay eggs. The streets have Turtle crossing signs.
