guttata@… it appears that you live in Vermont. Maybe that is a misconception but I took the remark “guttata land” to mean …if I ( Scott and/or a dbt) lived where you (guttata) lived which from your email address appears to be in Vermont (possibly a wrong assumption) which gets very cold I ( Scott and/or a dbt) would probably hibernate. An innocent and I believe a harmless comment. 🙂 okay??????? As to chinese box turtles hatchlings I seem to have forgotten what I was supposed to do?!? I can say that I now have 12 eggs incubating that appear to be good and the first 2 should hatch in a couple of weeks. By the time they all hatch I will have hatched 12 babies from one female in less that a year. 8 of the eggs currently incubating and 4 of the babies from the first of the year. All three of my adult females laid in the first part of this year and now they have all laid several clutches each again. I do not expect this will happen next year as I believe they have just self corrected their laying season from winter to summer. Vickie
