Vickie, Well, I can’t be certain about that. But I have some evidence. If I look behind the turtle I can see clearly the turtle’s reflection in the glass in front of the turtle. So, I think the turtle must see it too. In the back of my tank I just have a dark fabric taped there. The turtle keeps looking through that window and chasing back and forth – there is nothing to see out there. The turtle looks like its chasing another turtle. Also, I’ve seen my turtle stop and look at me through a reflection when I am behind the turtle. Some say the turtle is just “swimming through the glass” – a suggestion that the turtle is trying to get passed the glass. I’m not sure I buy that theory, but I suppose its possible. Bob
