LOL! I guess I’ll just call him Tex, unless anyone can come up with something better. I’d really like it to be a female, but just because I want it so bad, it’s going to be male. ๐ I’ve been trying to feed Tex crickets, but he just doesn’t seem intersted. When I put the reptomin sticks in the tank, I come back later to find a chewed up mess on the bottom of the tank so I’m guessing he’s eating them. I can’t find the shrimp treat anywhere, so I bought the Vitakraft and am feeding him the shrimp bits out of that and he’s crazy about them. As soon as I drop the shrimp thing in, he’ll swim over and crunch it down. Tex always trys to swim away and hide from me when he sees any movement and he freaks out when I pick him up. Is this just because he’s a hatchling and vulnerable or he’s just not used to me yet. I heard that someone used to handle their turtle everyday and it got sick from being stressed about being handled too much. How much could I hold Tex with out making him sick? ~Candace~ — In diamondbackterrapins@egroups.com, “Chun-Ming Chew”
