Kestral right? We have been trying to get large reptile stores to stop calling nice looking northern terrapins “ornate” without much success. But they is nothing wrong with your northern, I like the cool spotting patterns you can find on some of these turtles. The yellowish spot on her belly is it a sack or just a soft spot. I might need to clarify my website if it is causing confusion. If it is just a soft spot keep feeding her. If it is a knob or sack I would not feed her as much. Since she is already eating I would not stop feeding her completely. From my experience when a turtle hatches out of an incubator the egg sack can be almost as big as the turtle when in the first 24 hour the sack normal shrinks in half and by 48 or 72 hours the sack is almost completely gone.
