Scott: Where exactly in FL do you see the DBTs? I frequent the Tampa Bay area. One day about a month ago I went looking for DBTs along the west coast of the Tampa Bay around some of the parks; ie., near Ruskin. But, didn’t see any DBTs. I decided that looking along the water’s edge by myself in these lonely wooded areas was probably a bad idea: I could get attacked by an Alligator, a Water Moccasin, two types of Rattle Snakes, or a Coral Snake. I would love to see DBT’s in their natural habitat though. Can you give me an idea where exactly in FL you are seeing them on the wet sand? I have a desire someday to get a juvenile male FL DBT to mate with my female northern DBTs. Regards, Bob — In diamondbackterrapins@egroups.com, “Scott Howard”
