Hello everyone, Sorry I have been inactive for a while, I don’t get much time to do anything fun anymore. I just wanted to respond to some of the messages that have been posted. I have been into reptile now for the last 15 years. I first got into DBT’s about 8 years ago while working at a wholesaler in south Florida. We got a large shipment of Northern DB’s in and there was one female that had such a personality that I had to take her home, soon after I got more at expos, other dealers and private breeders as well as bred a few myself. Living in Florida, I have to watch that I don’t exceed my permit limits. I’m currently working on a permit amendment that would allow me to get a few more. I would like to get a pair of Texas and another pair of Ornates. As for food, I never have trouble getting mine to eat, getting them to stop is my problem. I feed them everything from fish that I catch in the ocean to the commercial turtle foods, shrimp, clams what ever I can find at the beach, bait store or market. I have also fed them cod fillets that I get at the market. They love it. The only advice I can give is vary the diet a lot, it seems to keep them happy and healthy. Keep up all the great info and the great photos. I should have new photos of my DB’s soon. I might also get to go to the keys again soon so I’ll try to shoot more picture if we get out in the mangrove swamps again. Take care all Dave
