Just a couple of thoughts, 1. The salt content of the water may be to high and the turtle cannot serrate salts fast enough causing the eyes to look swollen and or the turtle to scratch at them. 2. I highly recommend you get a small filter for your tank so that you don’t have to clean it daily. 3. When raising babies indoor I try to use a Cromalux or HOV bulb which provides UV and heat.
