I just uploaded pictures of his shell to a folder called “shell problem”. He deteriorated significantly this morning so I got him to a vet who is treating him with fluids and amicasen (sp?). They recently called to say he looked much improved so I suspect his infection had become systemic. The blood spots you can see on his carapace were not evident three days ago. The vet is going to keep him a few days. I’ll post an update when I know how he is doing. Thanks, everyone, for the support.
