Hi Todd, I live in Texas also and have received turtles through both Airborne and UPS without any problems. (Although I usually won’t receive turtles from June-August because of the heat.) Most of my experience is with Airborne. Airborne DOES ship turtles and it IS stated in writing in one of their company manuals. I got the same “We don’t ship reptiles story” one time, so I had the person look it up and she made me a copy. I’ll see if I still have it. You can mark on your Airborne label to hold for pickup at the nearest station. That way you can get them at 8:00am and they never have to ride around in the hot sun. You can also drop them off up to 8:30 pm which makes it a lot cooler for your turtles. So basically, you can limit your turtle’s travel time to 12 hours. Not too bad. Hope this helps. Vincent
