I use it , The turtles love it TURTLE BRITTLE : : O.K. One day I was thinking about the Tennessee Aquarium, which is here in Chattanooga TN where I live. It is the largest freshwater aquarium in the United States and has an extensive turtle exhibit. I began wondering what they feed their turtles so I called them and they gave me the name of their head vet. Dr. Keller out of Chattanooga. When I contacted Dr. Keller he told me they feed their turtles Turtle Brittle and gave me the information needed to buy my own. He said that this was a complete and balanced diet developed for zoos and aquariums. He does recommend a variety of treats such as feeder fish, worms and crickets to help keep them active and interested. : : Not only is Turtle Brittle recommended by the Tennessee Aquarium but also by the Atlanta Zoo and the Atlanta Herpetological Society and the Knoxville Zoo. These are the ones I know of specifically. But Dr. Keller told me that all of the zoos and aquariums he has dealings with use turtle brittle also. If you have turtles less then 2 inches they also have Frog Brittle which is the same thing but small enough for the little guys. Or you can do like I do for my three youngest turtles. I just break it up a little bit.
