Hi! Last Tuesday I received a Texas Diamondback Terrapin hatchling from Turtle Town. I could only afford one as they cost $150. Do you think I over payed? I am keeping the hatchling in a plastic shoe box, but it’s hard finding the time to change the water every day, so tonight I will be moving it into a 20 gal tank and will just feed it the shoe box. The water is about 2 inches deep and I have a rock and a floating cork. Vickie I think I was chatting with you a few days ago about my baby. You said to try Hikari Oranda Gold pellets, but it doesn’t seem to be interested in them. I have some pinhead crickets and will try those tonight. I let some reptomin pellets in there and the next day I checked there was a shredded mess at the bottom of the tub. I don’t know if it ate some or just chewed it up and spit them out. I don’t think it’s eating so does anyone know what I should do? Tonight we’ll be stopping by the pet store to pick up a filter replacement and a UV bulb. Also, can anyone help me out with a name for this little baby? Thanks! Candace << Candice, I see that you have joined our new group. Welcome. Do you keep diamondbacks?
