..and the answer is: TAPEWORM !!! ….isn’t that really gross?….and I hope that you are not reading this before dinner. I took the DBT, the white string, and a fecal sample to the Vet. She said the DBT had a tapeworm caused by a parasite the DBT could have carried from when the DBT was a baby. The Vet gave the DBT an injection to kill the parasite. She also gave my other two DBTs the injection also since they were exposed too. I have to bring the DBTs back again in two weeks for a follow up injection. Otherwise the Vet said my DBTs looked well cared for. On a much lighter note, the Vet said that her pet at home is also a DBT which she calls “terrapinni tortallini”!!!!!
