Hi All, I just joined the group and wanted to take some time to introduce myself. I am a sea turtle biologist in Naples, Florida but am interested in all turtles. I’ve been around terrapins throughout my life in North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland and now Florida. I have joined under my personal email at home and will probably sign up with my work email soon. I am now trying to get a few people together to look for terrapins within the 10,000 islands national wildlife refuge and everglades national park. Fisherman have reported seeing mangrove terrapins in this area, but I expect they are actually ornates. If plans go right I will see some of terrapins in this are over the next few months.
