This group was originally created as a Yahoo Group for learning and sharing information on the captive care and breeding of Diamondback Terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin sp.). Please feel free to share your successes and failures as they are both integral components of the learning experience. We can share what we have learned about raising and breeding these turtles and if we are lucky we can share our egg incubation and hatchling stories as well. If we can become successful captive breeders then hopefully we can reduce the demand on the wild population. Maybe someday we can stop collection from the wild altogether.

This forum is for listing captive bred only Diamondback Terrapins in need of placement in a new home. For domestic sales only. No overseas sales allowed without permission. This is a publicly visible forum but you must be a member of dbterrapin.com to post or comment.
Breeders/Sellers: Please provide hatch date if available and be willing to provide proof of captive breeding such as photos of the parents and/or breeding setup. Please list photo, price, and contact email. Mark your post when the turtle is sold or is no longer available. Posts with incomplete information will be deleted.
Buyers: Please check the laws in your state concerning keeping Diamondback Terrapins. Be prepared to share photos of your setup with the seller.

Turtles under 4" to be sold for Education, Exhibition or Scientific Purposes only.
