I just got my copy of Reptiles Magazine and on page 8 is a picture by Paul Freed of the most amazing dbt I think I have ever seen!!! It refers to it as a northern!!! Check it out! I just visited Paul at the Houston Zoo over Thanksgiving and he showed me some of his turtle photos, including an asian hairy turtle (long strands of green algae growing everywhere), but I’ll have to ask him why he neglected to show me this!?!?!? :-0 Now, I’ll be waiting to here from all of you who claim to have dbts that look just like that! Holy moly! -Rick
Rick, Which issue of Reptiles magazine is this? I just checked the current newstand issue and the annual issue and could not find this awesome picture. However, if I’m right, this is probably a picture of a male that has a light shell with brightly colored concentric circles; white skin and web pattern in between the eyes. The picture is taken from a straight above angle. Let me know!!!! Thanks, Chun — In diamondbackterrapins@egroups.com, greentrees
