I’ve used Turtle Clean off and on and can’t say that I’ve been able to determine whether it really helps or not. I usually find I have to clean filters and do at least partial water changes do to debris frequently anyway and so haven’t been able to really see a difference on my fully filtered tanks. I have used Turtle Clean in small tanks or tubs when I pull a turtle from a larger tank for treatment of a problem turtle or to separate fighting/biting individuals. It does seem to help keep the water a little better in that situation (with maybe only a submersible mechanical filter in the water). I’ve tried feeding my DBTs in a separate container and so far haven’t been able to get too many of them to eat well when switched to the “feeding tank.” This inlcudes many different ages and sources of DBTs. They all seem to get nervous and unsettled when pulled from their normal tank. I’ve tried training some hatchlings, too, and all of mine still don’t seem to like the switch. I’m sure I just haven’t spent enough time on it, but so far it hasn’t proven practical in my situation with a couple of dozen tanks of turtles going. I’ve been switching over to the AquaClear filters others have recommended with very good results, by the way. Todd Jeff Erdmann wrote:
