Hello all; I have thinned my collection down to just a few dbts. and a river cooter, and it just has not made it back to the river. The last of the maps went to either the rivers from which they came or to a friend with a public educational display for teaching biology students at local schools about herps ( most were on loan from him until he got his tanks setup). I do still have one corn snake but he is pretty low maintenance. Due to the recent death of my bigger boat’s motor, and unfortunate kayak incident, and a stronger focus on my old corvette, I have not the time to invest in my herps. My wife has also threated my life on a few occasions. I am not allowed to mention the word “turtle” when I go to my inlaws’ in FL. I cannot bring a boat or canoe on our trips unless it is a family affair. This will probably be the last year for any dbt babies and I am going to release to majority of the offspring. The adults will be acclimated to their natural environment and be released this summer. I see only one of them that may not be able to adapt and she will not be available. It has been fun, Scott

Scott, Are you saying that by next summer you won’t have any dbts at all? That is a shame. Did your pink headed girl lay her eggs yet? Vickie
