Todd, I have shipped out five packages of turtles over the last two weeks with Airborne Express. I took the packages down to a local Airborne office. On the box I wrote in large letters LIVE, the desk clerk asked me what was in the box. Since I read all the posts earlier I told he is was a lizard. He wasn’t sure if they could accept the package so he got the manager. The manager looked through a book and found a rule forbidding the shipment of birds, snakes, frogs, and lizards unless they individually boxed inside the shipping box (weird that they did not mention turtles). I assured them that they were individually boxed and waved any responsible for damage or death to the turtles. After that they took them. I will say these people did not seem to real know what the rules were about shipping live am animal but I was able to convince them it was OK. Anyways I also know several large breeders that shipping with Airborne everyday amd they tell them that the packages have turtles inside them. On a side note I sent one turtle through USPS and they did not even ask me what was in the box that was living. Hope this help Jonathan — In diamondbackterrapins@y…, Todd Stockwell
