Has anyone had success with keeping mangroves in their tank? I recently inherited three plants. I have three dbt’s, they are about 2 in length. Have you noticed a water quality improvements with them? What type of lighting did you use to keep them alive. Any information on your experience would be greatly appreciated.
Oooh, I’ve often thought about adding mangroves to my setup, but was under the impression that they needed mud to grow? At least, they seem to grow in mud naturally… Maybe some reef aquarist in the group could answer this one. -Chun
Had 2 plants one time, died, dead, gone. They grow EXTREMELY slow. I understand they need bright light and did I mention most grow really slow. It would take years to grow a seedling. Scott
Definitely mud lots of mud. mud and muddy water and they will still die, dead, gone. — In diamondbackterrapins@y…, “Chun-Ming Chew”
