I spent about a week researching this and couldn’t find any through local Houston-area Home Depot and Lowes. Their web sites indicate they have “regional” stocking inventories and the ones I talked to here weren’t willing/able to special order. It MAY be possible to special order the same large tub (3 x 6 foot) as a special order through the Lowes outdoor garden pond section. The manufacturer, MacCourt, sells the same tub as a rectangular pond liner. One store in Houston had a sign saying they could special order the pond liners, but the staff there the day I was couldn’t help. There are two manufacturers of the tubs I have found so far. MacCourt and TuffTubs. They both have web sites with product information (showing some other sizes, too). I found an online hardware supplier that lists the large tub, but it is difficult to locate on their price sheets. I think the company name is http://www.americanhardware.com (but I need to double check that). $100.00 for the 3′ x 6′ x12″ mixing tub. TuffTubs of California makes the same size and they confirmed the retail price of about $90.00. They directed me to TSC (Tractor Supply Company with many stores throughout Texas and the nation) stores here in Texas. They have just started supplying TSC with their tubs. My local store confirmed that they could special order any of the TuffTubs sizes and they quoted about $89.00 on the large one. I have been checking out some 2′ x 6′ x 12″ metal livestock troughs now as I found the narrower size would fit my space bettter.
