My young female northern has being feeling bad lately. I emmediately thought it may be pneumonia because she was breathing through her mouth. I finished 7 days of antibiotics and there was no improvement. I decided to take a good look at her just now and looked in her mouth. He tongue seems to be irritated and swollen. She probably has difficulty breathing because her glottis is partially closed due to the swelling. It doesn’t look like she has rot because her mucosa are pinkish and there isn’t any black or green areas. I don’t know how to proceed in treating this. I am raising the tank temperature and the salinity. I think that I will try giving her baytril PO. I woudl appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Julie
