hello, i am a new member to the group! it’s great that there is a group about diamonbacks for people to share information, since there isn’t much information about them to be found. i am looking for a concentric diamondback terrapin (female preferred) and would like to know if anyone is selling any! also, i have heard that there has been success with keeping these turtles in fresh water, but read that if kept in fresh water they will develop ulcers and die. please share any info with me or tips on care that you have. thanks!–Lindsay

I’ve never heard anything about them developing problems in fresh water, unless they’re wild caught. Captive bred should have no problems with fresh water… Walt G. —–Original Message—– From: nikkicoco11 [mailto:nikkicoco11@…] Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2002 4:50 PM To: diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com Subject: [diamondbackterrapins] looking for baby concentric diamondback terrapin (centrata) hello, i am a new member to the group! it’s great that there is a group about diamonbacks for people to share information, since there isn’t much information about them to be found. i am looking for a concentric diamondback terrapin (female preferred) and would like to know if anyone is selling any! also, i have heard that there has been success with keeping these turtles in fresh water, but read that if kept in fresh water they will develop ulcers and die. please share any info with me or tips on care that you have. thanks!–Lindsay To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: diamondbackterrapins-unsubscribe@egroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
