For the adult terrapin savaged from the pot, if the dead stuff fails, try something that moves to get her attention, like earth worms or small fish. It may take a while in warm conditions to crank up the metabolism. Also, please find out as much as you can on the point of purchase. I have marked over 800 females terrapins with a magnetic tag in a secret location. With the proper “wand” or reader, I can pick up the tag. I am trying to get a handle on terrapin transport out of state and out of US. —–Original Message—– From: diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com

Is it a typical micro- chip that people pu tin their dogs and cats? Can it be read by an avid scanner? If so I can scan her tomorrow. Unfortunately I don’t know anything else about her origin. The customer has never returned to the store and was not a regular customer before. Julie Terrapin Station at USNA/GP wrote:
