tail got caught…

Last night on of my yearling DBT’s knocked the strainer basket off the filter intake and somehow managed to get his tail stuck in the intake pipe. When I first saw him, he had about 1/2″ of his insides hanging out of his vent. I isolated him and most, but not all of his insides have gone back where they belong. What can I or should I do about this problem? I have discontinued feeding for now. Thanks
