I understand that using crushed coral as a substrate has added benefits of being used as a calcium source and also helps prevent beak overgrowth. However, I suspect that it would be difficult to clean. Can I use cuttlebone instead of crushed coral and still achieve the same health benefits? If I possible I would much rather use larger river rocks as a substrate (especially since I am not planning on running an UGF), and add pieces of cuttlebone for calcium and as a preventative to beak overgrowth. Any advice/suggestions would be well appreciated. Thanks! Shaun
