Is hibernation required to ensure reproduction? Has there been successful reproduction in captivity without an aestivation or hibernation period? What is the biological explanation for the requirement? Is it possible for terrapins to breed and reproduce if their natural brumation period is disrupted? Many thanks for your experiential wisdom Marguerite WhildenThe Terrapin InstituteP. O. Box 501Grasonville, MD. 21638410 370 9171410 757 9268
