Hello everyone, in January I posted that I had purchased 2 diamondback terrapins from the seafood bins, that came from the wild. I’m pleased to say that, 3 months later, all is well. They didn’t eat anything at all for quite a long time. I gave them lots of space and stayed away from them — I even moved my computer to my other room to disturb them less.

hang in there. i got an adult female last year (wild rescue), she absolutely would not touch anything but shrimp. just the other day i actually observed her CHOWING on pellets. Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.
Agreed. Be patient. I have three that are doing well. Once they start eathing they tend to fixate on one thing. 2 of the three I have eat nothing but superworms, waxworms and crickets the third eats nothing but shrimp. Try sticking other foods into the chunks of shrimp that you feed. Also try to get them to accept shrimp from your hand. Once they do this readily try replacing the shrimp with something else and see if they will take it from your hand. It sometimes takes months and months before they will not fixate on one food type.
