Hi all, Tried to send two adult DBTs to Texas, from Illinois. Just got a call from the pickup point that the DHL driver said ___he didn___t think they shipped turtles to Texas._ DHL evidently does have a restrictions list, which includes animals, but I know this is not written in stone. Most of the people in the group have been shipping DHL for years. Evidently there is a trick to getting the OK from them. Please let me know what I need to do to make this happen. Thanks, Dick

Dick, I have never had any problems shipping to TX. I don’t know why they are raising it up as an issue. Perhaps the both of you are asking too many questions of the wrong people. “He didn’t think they shipped turtles to Texas” isn’t a very solid answer – either they do or they don’t. You could try customer service but if I were to bet, you should be able to just ship them – no questions asked. -Stephen C — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “Richard Biondi”

Attachments : Stephen, Right. I called DHL this morning. Seems they stopped setting up accounts online two weeks ago. I explained what had happened: they told me shipping turtles was OK, but the shipper needs to sign a waiver and have it on file. Today I will head over to the nearest service center and sign it. Then there should be zero hiccups. Once I recovered from my old person curmudgeonry, I was able to effect a very satisfactory solution. Cheers!
