Attachments :#ygrps-yiv-866819902 p {margin:0;}Hi everyone. I had posted some pictures that were hard to make out before. I really hope these ones are better. I am getting more and more concerned about the little guy. He is getting very lethargic, not basking very much. Does continue to eat but not as ravenously as he used to or as his brother still does. Their diet is primarily Reptomin sticks. Again, we’ve had the 2 DBT’s for approximately 7-8 years. They both live together in a 90 gallon tank. They get fed in a separate tub. The one DBT is totally fine but the other has started w/ symptoms a couple months ago. First started w/ the red rim in and out of his mouth. I have since noticed that there is lump on the inside of his mouth close to the beak. His bottom shell has started to flake. His eyes had started to look sunken in compared to his brother. Any ideas on what is going on w/ him will be so greatly appreciated. Thanks ….Densie Crowe

Thank you Ms. Ebenhack. I will start researching a turtle vet asap. Darn, I was afraid something serious was going on. They have both been so healthy all these years. Thank you…..Densie Crowe  In a message dated 10/23/2008 9:56:19 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, densieria@… writes: Wow that mouth doesn’t look right. You really need to take this turtle to a vet ASAP. That was a great link. thank you!!! I was able to get an appt for this coming Monday morning. Question: Do you think it is okay to wait until Monday or does it look bad enough that I should take him up to the University of Pennsylvania Animal Hospital ER (only an hour away). They are VERY expensive but I will take him there right away if waiting until Monday is too long. Any thoughts? Densie Crowe  In a message dated 10/23/2008 11:16:58 A.M. Does the vet you are going to Monday have experience with turtles. They are going to have to get that mouth open and take a good look inside. I guess it would depend on if the ER vet has experience with turtles. MY vet does consults. You may want to take down his number should the vet want to talk to him. http://www.lakehowellanimalclinic.com/ He had to remove part of the tongue of a rescued diamond back for me this year. He did a wonderful job.Play online games for FREE at Games.com! All of your favorites, no registration required and great graphics ___ check it out!
