Hi -If you have a mild case of fungal growth on the scutes, I found Betadine ointment (which is hard to find but worth it) or Betadine liquid at your loca drugstore, can be applied on the specific spots, then allow to dry for at least twenty to thirty minutes. It can take several months for it to heal-up completely, but persistance pays off.When I rescued a 3 month old DBT, he was under-nourished, and had several spots of a brownish fungus. I consistantly applied the Betadine ointment daily for over 4 months, with good sucess.Shana From: John Och
