I have bred Dbts in the past but for the last 2 yrs nothing . I thought it was cause i removed 2 males from the tank and lept the nicer looking 2 in the tank. Tonite I just found 3 eggs in the sand the only thing is they are half the size of the ones i hatched in 07 and 08 nice white color , solid they look good. Im just tryin to see if this is normal? I do have 2 new females since then one is an 06 hatcher 8″one was from my first clutch in 07 shes close to 8″ . Would this be normal for one of the younger ones . Idk any help would be great and this site got me thru my first breeding season . Thanks Lou
Jonathan HelmsJune 28, 2010 at 8:21 pm #22732Hi Lou, Young females produces smaller eggs for the first couple of years. They normally will produce 5 to 8 eggs. You might even find a egg or two that are very tiny. Removing males should only effect the fertility rate not the amount of eggs.
