Ok i got my dbt from a reptile show it had a small speck on the shell then all of a sudden it spread and he got blotches on the shell that are lighter than his brownish black color and i took he to the doctor and he gave me some betadine and fungus med. but it still hasnt gone away and its been like 3 months.
Mine definitely isn’t blotches. It looks more like shedding .. as all reptiles do, but it started out mainly on the top 2 scutes of the plastron then it looks like it has gone more toward the middle. its not soft or mushy, so that pretty much rules out shell rot… and doesnt seem like a fungus. As talked about in an earlier post about him trying to climb behind the floating rock brace it may be itching because he is growing and shedding, but im not sure and right now cant afford to take him to a herpetologist.
