Hello,I have a large female DB who is not shedding her scutes fully. Last year, in a pond in my yard, she had some algae on her shell. Ever since that time, her scutes have not come off in full – they have come off in small pieces and left some still attached. she appears healthy, is very active, and eats well. Her diet is maintenance reptomin (she is over 8″), different lettuce strains weekly, and calcium (the bird beak scratching white things – sorry I cant think of the name). All the algea is gone -Im not sure if that is related or not, it was just about that time I noticed the problem. She sits out daily under a reptomine 5.0 bulb and a 60 watt porcelain heat “bulb”. I have other DBs under the same conditions who look great and loose their scutes in full pieces. Any ideas of what might help? Thanks,Mark Congruent Counseling Services 410.740.8066 http://www.congruentcounseling.comIntegrative Counseling 410.740.8067 http://www.integrative-counseling.com This e-mail, including any attachments, is confidential and may be legally privileged.
