Rich, Thanks so much for your very detailed and informative reply! I will start your suggested treatment plan ASAP and let you know the results within the next week or so. What you said is the cause of these white spots (not completely drying out on the basking site) makes a whole lot of sense, because what I have noticed as of late is when she is basking, she never completely gets out of the water. Almost her whole body is out (including her shell), but she almost always keeps her rear legs still in the water and that is exactly where the white spot has occured……right above her foot on her right rear leg! Because of the information you provided me, everything is starting to make sense. I think the reason she is not completely getting out of the water is because she is trying to get closer to the basking lamp (which is pointed closer to the entry site on the Zoo Med basking ramp). Now I know that I have to adjust the position of the basking lamp to encourage her to get completely out of the water (including her rear legs). When I move her into my 90 gallon tank, I will have to come up with a better long term basking site. I am quite sure everything that you suggested will work perfectly. Thanks again for all your help! Jimbo
