Hey guys my dbt has a little white patch on his back foot.I have a turtle dock and I was looking close at it and it seems to be always kinda of wet up there.I guess I’m going to have to change it.Any ways I have Methylene Blue how would the best way of going at this with what I have.Should I drydock him for a good hour and then soak him in it for a half n hour the dry dock him so it soak in.Well just want to know how to take care of this so it doesn’t turn in to anything ugly. Thanks walls

Walter …dry-dock him overnight and paint the white fungus patch with providone Iodine solution. Return him into he water in the mornings to eat drink and poop then dry-dock him again until the evening….for a couple of hours in the water then take him out paint with iodine solution and dry-dock overnight. Keep this procedure up for a few days until it goes away. If you follow my instructions it will go away completely between 3-4 days. The root of the problem is your terrapin is not getting completely dry. Those turtle docks are terrible and foster this kind of problem. You need a fixed basking site where your terrapin can get completely out of the water and get bone dry. This can be done easily by siliconing (use aquarium non toxic silicone) a piece of driftwood to two sides of your Tank and then bring the water up to an appropriate level for your terrapin to get out of the water and dry off completely.
