Not sure how big your tank is, but the Fluvals are good. Also, when they’re little babies like that (so cute and loveable-with all the work sometimes you’ll wish you never picked him up, but you’ll never consider putting him back either! they hook you like that) anyway, try blood worms. they are really tiny, skinny little things, I used the dry ones, but they have frozen that you put in (like an ice cube) and they break away. but I used the dried ones and when he was a baby, that’s all he would eat. sometimes I give lean (and that’s lean ground beef, from the butcher, not the packets at the store-has to be like 90%+ lean. you can put like vitamins in it, some kind of powder, I forget what’s it called. but once he’s on sticks (turtle sticks-Reptomin) he gets lots of vitamins from them I believe. oh and feed him in a separate container. once you get a bigger tank, you won’t want to grease it up or cloud it with food. I have a really hard time cleaning the big tank now and it’s not even that big! the lights. it sounds like u have a basking lamp (?) he also the UVB like Steve said. so it looks like a fluorescent light (long). the basking gives him the UVA (I forget) and the other one gives him the B. I haven’t put romaine lettuce in his tank in a while, but when he was little he used to float on it. so cute! but they nibble at that sometimes, reminds me… good luck with your new one!psuran69
