Permit for DBT

I sent an email to the director at the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management/Wildlife Division … this was the email and response “Hello _ I’m doing some research on this topic _ are permits required for keeping either CAPTIVE BRED or RESCUED Diamond Back Terrapins that do not originate from Rhode Island?” Response – “Yes, the R.I. DEM requires permits for all Diamond Back Terrapins.” Hmmm … wonder if other state agencies have the same requirement
