Hello everyone! Once again I can use a bit of friendly advice … The CrabPot Clan is eating well on gutloaded roaches and actually fight over them. I have to make sure I throw enough in at once to keep them on their own bugs! Now I have started giving them raw white shrimp. They LOVE them … I keep them frozen and warm them in the nuker just enough to take the cold out but not cook them. They eat the pieces whole, don’t even try to tear them up …just swallow them. My question is … will they over stuff themselves? Here I was initially worrying that I wouldn’t get them to eat at all and now I am worrying about OBESE turtles!! They really seem to eat mroe than my other turtles and I know from all of the reading I did that they do eat a lot more than fresh water turtles. So I guess I am trying to determine … do I feed them tilt hey stop consuming? And if so, then how often should I feed? It just seems like a LOT for them to eat every day. They are averaging four medium sized (dipping size) shrimp a piece a day. Seems like an over feed to me, but I want to be sure. They can have ALL they want as long as they continue to eat, but I want to make sure i am not doing them harm. Thanks! Ang
