Hi everyone– So I am just curious as to wether or not Krill ( you know those little pink dried shrip thingys- that skink!) are a well balenced diet for terrapins. My guys love them and I have been feeding them these for a few weeks now and just wonder if I should be including along with the Krill some other types of food?— Thanks — Heather– oh yea– Im glad that Flora is doing better – good luck with her!
Hi Heather! I use Krill and Jumbo shrimps occationaly as a treat, they just love them! The way I usually feed them is by giving them two times a week a variation of these things fresh and frozen meat, chicken, smelts and shrimp mixed with a pinch of zoo med reptivite. Then on the other days I give then a little amount of different types of turtle pellets on different days, sometimes koi pellets. I give that to all of my turtles including the terrapins. The terrapins also have live aquarium snails in their tank and they love to eat them, even Flora who only likes to eat chicken. By the way Flora is better but giving me a hard time while I use her feeding tube. Thanks for your good wishes! — wezelegingrich
