What is normal size for adult terrapins?

Hi! My oldest one is only 5 inches and he is still growing. I understood that the average male is about 5-6 inch and femail is 7-8 inches, am I correct? (Can female grow over 10 inches?) Thanks in advance. Danny
Hey Danny, According to most web sites, your right on target for the Adult Males (5 to 6 inches). From what I have read, most Adult Females will be right around the 9 inch mark (at least in captivity), although Austins Turtle Page listed the Adult Female as 6 to 9 inches. So, depending on your source or where you look, I think you’re pretty close to being correct!! —- dasom97
