Lately my turtle has been snapping at the temperature gauge of his basking rock and the plastic rod that is attached to his basking rock… Is this strange? I am feeding him the same amount but his snapping makes me think he is hungry. Could this be the reason??

It’s quite possible that he’s hungry. As he grows bigger, his portions should also increase accordingly. Another thing you can do is provide him with a piece of cuttlebone or bird calcium block to nibble on. Both are good for him. -Stephen C — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “DonatelloDiamond”
