HI everyone- I was just wondering if anyone here may have some imput on this…- I have a male apx 3yrs old who is in a 90G. — He is very docile and did live w/ other turtles and got along great with them but is now alone and … I am really wanting to get him a buddy and Im curious as to weather or not it would be a really bad idea to try and get hatchling to live with him- obviously there is going to be a size difference ( current guy is 4 inches ) but is it for certain that babies and adolecents should not be together???- I know he got along fine with his old tank mate who was less than half his size but… hatchlings are ittybitty…. any thoughts??? — Heather

Hi Heather, Not a good idea. I’ve seen hatchlings decapitated by juveniles before so no telling what an adult would do to it! I would not place juveniles with adults until their shells have hardened. -Stephen C — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “wezelegingrich”
